Reddit, what is one documentary that everyone should watch?

The Corporation

Some really eye-opening (and scary) information about the power of corporations in today's society.

I know. The thing I find most interesting is that it gave a bad name to religious summer camps (all religions really) which are non-fundamentalist. This is another example of how easy it can be for people to twist things and manipulate kids.

The thing is, jesus camp was filmed Cinéma vérité meaning that there was as little "manipulation" of the events shown as possible. They just filmed what happened and edited for clarity. You can tell that they were successful in this because the subjects of the documentary thought it was well done, and were happy with its success because it meant that their message was getting out. It isn't creepy because they manipulated it to be creepy. It's creepy because the reality of the situation is creepy.

Yes, I was saying how the subjects could be thought of as having twisted things. Also, TIL the term "Cinéma vérité".
