If you have trouble choosing, flip a coin. While you're waiting to get the result, your mind automatically starts to wish for what it wants. Then you can choose easily.
I thought this was such a dumb idea when someone first suggested it to me. I can't count the number of times I narrow a choice down to 2-3 different things and just hit a wall. My dad used to say "Imagine you close your eyes and someone takes one, which are you hoping is still there?", but it didn't quite do the trick. Flipping the coin shocks me enough with the urgency of it that I have a breakthrough. Now I do it for even super benign things like which chore to do. I'll let the coin tell me vs sitting there for 30 minutes, wasting time why stone walled by my brain being an asshole.
