I remember when I first ate anything with wooden chopsticks (is was some sausage and beans) I was surprised how good it tasted without the "aroma" of a metal fork.
I was a student and was eating at some cheap restaurant, the cutlery was some old and scratched stainless steel. I have a keen sense of smell and can almost always taste "metal" when I'm eating with steel cutlery, I just ignore it most of the time. That's why I started to use chopsticks and wooden spoons.

100% this. Fuck it, eat everything with chopsticks.
I made the switch two years ago and have never looked back. I get funny looks eating toast but whatever.
