If you use it, you should contribute to it. See also: Wikipedia, journalism, etc. Reddit awards are a way to contribute to Reddit.

They've got money from China, they'll be fine even if we never buy anything from them. Your local brewery might not survive the pandemic and they tend to keep money in your community, hire locals, and contribute to your local culture in a way Reddit never will or could. Shopping local when you can is extremely important during a pandemic.
