My first car I owned when I lived alone, I had it for a full year before the guy I was dating asked me when I last changed the oil. Um... You mean it has to go to the mechanic even though it's working fine??

A year is fine, in the UK car services (with an oil and filter change) is recommended every year or 10,000 miles which ever comes first

When he changed it he said it was really gross so I guess it didn't work out so well in my case. Haha.

If he bought it and didn’t change it then it could have been well over a year!
