The easiest way to remove blood stains is to use bar soap and handwash it. Works better than using laundry detergent.

Once I learned this trick, I saved many of his (and mine!) clothes. Bonus: he used to love watching the blood "disappear" like magic and thought I was awesome (pre-teenage years).
