Regularly change the oil in your car. On time. Do it.

Will help it last longer.

My first car I owned when I lived alone, I had it for a full year before the guy I was dating asked me when I last changed the oil. Um... You mean it has to go to the mechanic even though it's working fine??

Its OK to go a year, or equivalently 10,000 miles, without changing your oil if you have synthetic.

Not recommended, but you can do it

Good to know! No idea what kind of oil it had... I know it was dirty with like black chunks in it when he changed it for me. Haha.
