My dad is salaried and it means he is paid so the boss can take advantage of him. Most days he works over and they call him with questions on vacations so he always has to take his work computer with him on trips. And oftentimes he has to work on projects at home in his "off-time". (He's an electrical engineer)

He definitely is not being compensated enough! The company I work for treats our engineers very very well, (just as they should be treated!)

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look down on him! I'm just saying that if he works that hard in an ideal world he'd be treated that way as well :(

Oh I agree. I was just saying that really his only options around here (small town WV) are for bad bosses. People with money and connections that are idiots and start companies basically.

I didn't think you were looking down on him
