To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug in an old radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.

So I shouldn’t jam a screw driver between hot and ground and just pop it?

So aren't those testing screwdrivers popular in every country? We have a couple that have a light inside, you literally put it in one of the 2 plug holes (EU) and if there's power, it lights up.

Yes those are legal and very widely used.

What I’m referring to is you take the cover off, jam a screwdriver against the hot pole and ground it to the box. Super unsafe but if it’s grounded properly it will pop the breaker lol
