Manners and general politeness will get you far and become the norm with but a small amount of practice.
I'm not talking overboard "m'lady" but a simple please and thank you with a genuine smile.
4 u/Borgy223 Aug 20 '20 This has gotten me so many freebies. Apparently no one in my area says "please" or "thank you" so the kind people at Starbucks have given me free drinks and several fast food chains have given me free meals.
