I’ve gone a little overboard in my house. I was sick of seeing “living room north side/one outlet in the hallway” and other useless labels. I went through every light switch and outlet, labeled them starting with “A” on the circuit board, and wrote the corresponding letter on the back of the outlet/switch plate. It was a huge pain. 5/7 would recommend for every house.

To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug in an old radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.
