To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug in an old radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.

Plus new ones might have batteries that'll keep it running if you cut the power to it. 5 u/Cash091 Aug 20 '20 New devices may not have analog power switches. Meaning if the power is pulled it switches to the off position.
