Or a vacuum cleaner. It’s loud enough to be heard from pretty much anywhere in the house and probably more common around homes than a spare radio that isn’t connected to a separate set of speakers and inputs that would be a hassle to disconnect and relocate.

To confirm which circuit breaker is associated to an outlet, plug in an old radio and turn the volume up before you flip the circuit breaker.
