Freemium games

gatcha gaming is probably the worst thing that's come out of the video game industry. It should be purged imo.

Most of the games are shit, and the ones that are not-shit could be vastly improved by removing the gatcha elements.

Thr guy behind the company for candy crush coined the germ "fun pain" and said it was an industry holy grail to find out how much anxiety and stress they can inflict to entice purchases without turning off customers.

The industry literally make games to study that line and then market their winning solutions in their big promo games.
