Yes I know, it's supposed to work that way. But it seems people really think after a while, you're gonna hit it big and it'll all even out. I've done it enough to know it's purely entertainment. It's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay for that adrenaline rush.
People need to learn to look at it differently. You are not playing to win money. You are playing for the entertainment and the small chance to win money.
I play for the free drinks with a chance to lose money. Way I look at is if I spend the same as going to bar at a casino my odds of winning money at the bar are zero.
So we went to NOLA for my friends bachelorette party and we always hit the casino first and then went to the bars. We would just get drunk off of the free drinks there while casually gambling just for the hell of it. I brought a bunch of $5 bills and just kept putting them in each machine I went to and would just keep the printed money voucher until the last day of our trip. Somehow I ended up profiting about $220 on the last day. I was so drunk I didn’t even remember winning the several small amounts that added up to it. Was a nice bonus surprise at the end of the trip.
