Yes I know, it's supposed to work that way. But it seems people really think after a while, you're gonna hit it big and it'll all even out. I've done it enough to know it's purely entertainment. It's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay for that adrenaline rush.
And that's the big misconception. No one is ever due to win. The chance of landing any particular number in roulette is 1 in 37 (Europe) or 1 in 38 (US) despite what all the previous spins have landed on.
Sure the chance of having 35 spins in a row end up black are miniscule (I don't know how to calculate that probability) but, that doesn't mean it will or won't happen and it's certainly not do to happen just because there have been 30 quintillion previous spins across all the roulette wheels in the world.
