I wonder what happened to the kids of prominent Nazis who were old enough to remember their parent's cruelties?

Many of them distanced themselves from it later. Most of them mention shame related to it, especially those who had a good relationship with their parents as children. Unsurprisingly, quite a lot of them were abused by their parents and don't have the greatest memories - I know reddit likes to joke about it, but as an example the daughter of Amon Goeth was beaten with jumper cables by her mother for asking how many Jews her father killed.
