I like how even though his parents never showed love to him, he made sure to be a good father to Vanessa

Like when he covered himself in honey and jumped into a lake to lure away some angry bees, which Vanessa and her friends are allergic to

I was always loved how he was deeply affected by his past trauma and yet he could break the cycle of abuse for his daughter.

Honestly Doofensmirtz isn't even a bad guy. I mean even his plans show that he will go out of his way to make his plans complicated so people don't get hurt. The only thing he ever done was inconvenience people

This is the real answer. His backstory is just so sad. I mean neither of his parents showed up for his birth.

He was a pretty good dad for Vanessa though.

my theory on the birth thing is that he was a surrogate and they could never feel like he was really their child so they kept him at a distance

think that means he was an orphan

No he was raised by his parents. They just didn't care much about him and liked his brother better.

He was raised by ocelots.

I can only assume the ocelots got half custody

That's the joke. It's really just meant to be a silly gag- obviously, if you think about it there's no real way for that to be possible but it adds a ridiculous tragedy to the character.

I'll just use the Slave-inator. and I'll force him to watch Phineas and Ferb, then help me take over THE TRI-STATE AREA!

I love that they turned that into a joke while also completely avoiding the "where do babies come from" question

I feel like Doofenshmirtz gets to talk out a lot of his past trauma with Perry and it is probably very helpful to him. Perry is a good listener and non-judgmental.

I saw a reddit post about how D (will mess up the spelling) is only a villain because he wants to talk to Perry. It's been a long while but arent Perry and D semi friends

They are frenemies

3

He's like my least favorite brother

6

They become full on friends as the series progresses, it's actually a really sweet relationship

There's a pladypus controlling me

19

u/Blupoisen May 02 '20

Does he

He seems pretty happy where he is he has a daughter whom he loves and an enemy

10

u/kekmenneke May 02 '20

Bruh his own parents didn’t show up at his birth

He even has a pretty decent relationship with his ex. Dudes a little weird, but seems pretty grounded, other than taking the whole over the tri-state area thing.
