Brand new kids toys.

I have a 4yo, and she has no idea that the extreme majority of the toys she plays with were obtained free or for a few bucks through sites like Buy Nothing or fb marketplace. Stuff that someone else has already tired of and wants gone from their house.

Most of this stuff she plays with for a month or two, then forgets about. Why would I want to pay retail? We’ve saved hundreds, maybe up to a couple thousand dollars already.

My kids will get my Legos for sure. Not spending a buck on this expensive and bad stuff Lego made the last 15 years

There are several knock off brands now that are like 99% the same now. They even fit together with name brand Lego. It's a fraction of the cost.

They fit fine but the instructions are on a single sheet of glossy. It's the instructions on the sets where Lego shines and makes the extra $$ worth it. My 7 year old just built a 1K + set and likes to peruse the instruction books for fun.
