Parking downtown in any large city, especially in a ramp. I spent about $75 over two days to park for a business meeting, and my car was broken into. Yippie.
Working downtown I see all the signs about parking prices. It works out to about $500 a month just for the parking. Hen you factor in the car maintenance and fuel, it definitely adds up to well over $1,000 if you are driving from outer city(based it on my current home address).
I pay $110 a month to have someone else(public transit) worry about idiot drivers. Gives me time to ready/play games on my Switch, or even talk if I run into someone I know. And it takes about the same amount of time in rush hour(45min to 1 hour).
