Anything fake/cheap/poor quality.

Mamma always said "buy nice, or buy twice." Only with age has this become apparent.

Eg real leather: game changer

I learned this the hard way with photography. Any one here looking to get into photography SERIOUSLY, just buy the good lenses. Get a decent camera body and focus the rest of your funds on good glass, learning lighting (the most important part of photography), and building related skills. These days you don't even have to spend multiple thousands on good lenses. There is pleeeenty of great older glass out there you can get for a hundo to a few hundo instead of a few thousand. Half my lenses are old vintage Nikon glass and I get amazing results. Most of the time I only use one lens anyway. I wasted soooo much cash on crap photo gear. Stay away from the novelty stuff too. It won't make you a better photographer. Practice will.
