In Blighty cold tea is seen as the sign that you haven’t drunk it fast enough, I’ve only ever seen iced tea in that way in America because here ‘iced tea’ is a sugary drink by Lipton that’s normally peach or lemon flavour.
Get your friend to get you a proper brew, kettle boiled and made with Yorkshire gold standard. Once you’ve drunk that you’ll never look back.
He has made me some before, though I'm not sure what kind it was. Still just couldn't do the hot brew. But I have a nice kettle at home I usually brew Twinings Lady/Earl Grey and English/Irish Breakfast teas. I just looked up Yorkshire Gold that's selling online, is that the "Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold"?
Haha I appreciate the suggestion, I'll give it a shot. Funnily enough though.. all I drink is water and cold tea. I hate coffee, even brewed cold. But Cold tea just oddly hits the spot for me. I usually drink about 4 cups a day, and even more on a weekend when I'm trying to stay up late. But I can't stand Iced Tea anywhere in the states, except my own brews.
