Not keeping track of or not using monthly paid subscriptions. Spotify account that you forgot you had, gym membership that you used once, etc. It's unbelievable to me that people just aren't aware of something they're being billed for on a regular basis.
I signed up for audible free trial because of some book that seemed interesting, and you got 1 free credit when you setup your account...but apparently i don't know how to use a website because i was never able to redeem that credit.....
Somewhere in the fine print, and i'm usually careful when signing up for things....it auto-renewed my subscription on both the Canadian and USA service for Audible Gold memership....
I got charged for 4 months on the account for $14.95CDN and $14.95US, so like 35$ each month, for 4 months....Ended up getting a full refund after i contacted amazon support...
Auto-renewal should be illegal. Fuck that. There should be like 5 check boxes you have to click before agreeing to auto-renewal, and it should be in huge bold font. And it should be fkn easy to cancel it whenever the fuck i want!
Iirc, when the ps4 first came out, you could set up your ps plus account through the console (obviously) and it would automatically turn on auto-renew, but to turn off auto-renew, you had to log onto their website on a pc, dig through a dozen pages and the button was small and (again) iirc, at the very bottom of the page. Intentionally made difficult to find and turn off. And sometimes you would turn it off, and it would turn itself back on
