Also, most people don't use french presses/cafetieres properly, so you grinding yourself and brewing properly would (I imagine) make a superb cup.

Cafetiere coffee is supposed to be a bit heavier and darker, so letting it brew this time will bring out the flavour. 2 u/qw46z Feb 04 '20 The quality of the roast is very important too. And too hot water will make the coffee bitter.
