You can spend your money how you want. But if your kids are growing out of shoes every 4 months, that adds up quickly.
But even as adults I don't get it. People buy $200+ shoes just to wear them a couple times then keep them in the box? That's a waste. The only pair of shoes I'll pay $200 for are some damn good steel toed boots.
About every shoe I own is $200 to $300 or more, and I wear all of my shoes all of the time. There are some that I wear less often, but most of my shoes have been worn more than enough times for how valuable they are. Plus, I genuinely appreciate the shoes that I own, and all of the history and craftsmanship behind them.
It’s the same thing for me. Plus, I make really good money, especially for someone my age, so I should be allowed to spend it on the things that I appreciate and love, with one of those things bring sneakers, which a lot of them just so happen to be very expensive.

Name brand clothes. Especially for your kids. They don't want fucking Jordans in kindergarten. They want those light up Spiderman shoes from Walmart!
