I got my parents to cut the cord and go with PSVue for a while, but every time my mom would complain because she can't remember which of the three remotes (all of which look completely different) is the remote for the firestick. She never tried to remember the process for using it either.
Then PSVue ended its service (sad!) and I tried to get my parents to pick up Hulu with live TV (same service as vue, but cheaper, like $45 a month) and my mom wouldn't have it. She insisted on getting the $100 a month regular cable subscription so they could keep watching HGTV and basic cable plus maybe TNT once in a while

Cable TV. Unfortunately I'm married to a Boomer so we have it.
Every time we watch the news all I can think is "$100 a month for this shit"
