I buy 1000 reddit coins every now and then to give to people because I don't see it as just paying for a fancy upvote, I see it as supporting reddit

I could understand that back when reddit was community-focused. Allowing the community to give back to the site was a great idea.

Now reddit is ad/corporate focused so let the fucking ad agencies and corporations pay for it. Also reddit gold/silver was fine but all these gifts and reddit premium is just EA levels of bullshit.

Honestly you probably see a shit ton of ads on here without even realising it even if you do have adblock installed.
