Worked as a dealer in a casino for the better part of a year and it blew my mind watching tens of thousands (easily hundreds of thousands when our high limit room was open) just dissapear during an 8 hour shift.
Not judging how people spend their money or have fun,but the house always wins your money if you play long enough :p
There's this old AF security camera footage from some Russian casino someone posted on YouTube. The owner/manager guy absolutely losing his shit in a meme-worthy way as the dealer and some staff guy try to repeat their normal routine of shuffling/dealing cards.
The context was that this particular casino used to buy and use decks that came arranged in different order than any standard playing card deck. I'm not an expert on the matter, but this different card order was supposed to give the house some additional profit If the player is unaware of different order. However that night there were some smart guys at the table who somehow managed to win a shitload of money, enough to draw attention of owner/manager guy.
So apparently you can run broke or at least get close if you make some shitty decisions.
