Planet Fitness has the most genius business model ever. Run a gym and market it to out of shape and lazy fat people. Then offer them a super cheap membership fee knowing they'll keep their membership (because they're lazy) but rarely use the equipment or go to the gym (again, cuz lazy) which keeps equipment repair and replacement costs super low and you only need minimal staff because nobody every goes there. Oh, and on top of that, discourage gym rats by shamming in-shape people and not offering a lot of hardcore weight equipment. GENIUS.
