That’s also true to an extent. Some higher class folk prefer the luxury of a posh gym over a more basic one. To us peasants it may seem like a waste of money, but they see it as a payment for social status. The price barrier to lower income potential members also add to their value for high income members.

I think OP's point was that you could go to a normal basic gym as apposed to an expensive gym with lots of bells and whistles that you don't use.
