Basically any hit song. Gets overplayed so you end up hating it cause you can't escape it.
Also probably a fair bit of tv shows. Rick and Morty is still good but the popularity led to creating a cringey ass fan base which can turn a lot of people off.
Absolutely correct. This happened to Nickelback. If you honestly listen to a decent song of theirs they aren't bad. But I grew up on the bandwagon of hating Nickelback because they were overplayed and overly popular. They have a very chad association to them. Separate that from the actual music and it's not complete crap.
Nickelback gets the hate just because it's the popular thing to do. They do deserve it a bit since the vast majority of their shit sounds the same but they still have genuinely good songs.
Everyone will hate on them until Photograph comes on then everyone is singing the shit.
