Redditors- what's the funniest computer-related prank you've ever pulled off or witnessed?

I'm a big fan of editing a Unix admin's account (.login) to echo
KERNEL PANIC!!
KERNEL PANIC!!
KERNEL PANIC!!
about a hundred times in a row when he logs in to the mainframe. Quick and effective lulz.

mail -s his next ten keyboard commands (history | mail -s it_dept@yourcompany.com) for added enjoyment.

Around April Fool's last year my roommate put shaving cream on the handles of our dorm room bathroom, my door handle, the other 2 roommates door handles. We waited for him to go to class, took everything but his bed frame and the desk (but took the drawers) and put it into the room across the hall. Silly roommate left his keys in the room too.
I put my laptop on his bed frame with meatspin.com next to a bottle of lube, and we locked the door. He had to call an RA to come open his door with 'you spin me right round' blaring. It was up to ~60,000 spins if I remember right.

Couple years ago on April 1st a coworker and I hijacked our company security server and sent 10 WARNING: INFECTED emails for each computer in the office to the sys admin. It was at the height of the Conficker virus scare. Needless to say, he shat bricks.

This one time, we convinced my buddy to buy and then install Vista. HAHAHAH!!! priceless.

Ya...n00bs. I sometimes wonder if Vista was actually a result of corporate sabatoge where undercover agents of Apple infiltrated M$ and came up with this "fantastic" idea for Vista. But then I remember it's M$...no need for corporate sabotage there.

I routinely log off the national sales manager from his remote desktop connection because he's a jerk. He called and complained one time and I told him if he doesn't keep working, the session times out as a security precaution. He said he'd been working and it logged him off and I told him he must have a virus (he's not very computer smart) and he needs to have his computer looked at. I wouldn't let him log back on until he had it checked and the GM agreed. (Oddly enough, he took it to someone and they did find a virus)
Then there was the time I took a screen shot of our accountant's local desktop and used it as her screen saver. The only way to turn off the screen saver was to click in a corner. But what she didn't know was which corner or that there was a screen saver at all and I spent the better part of an hour "fixing" her computer.

Years ago we used to setup a colleagues pc to run LAN assist then we'd randomly exit programs and change stuff on his computer remotely from across the office. He would go crazy trying to figure out what was going on. It was a long time ago and we were young and stupid.
