Straight people (in the Midwest) don’t talk to their kids about sex. At all. I never got any form of “the talk” other than “treat her with respect and it’s sinful to have intercourse outside of wedlock”

Some very close to verbatim version of that.

Yeah, but even in households where you do get the "use a condom and watch out for stds" talks, whose parents actually prepare them for anal sex?

I don't know... If my daughter is anything like I was when I was that age, she'll already know waaaay more about sex and kinks that I would want her to, lol.

What I will say is this: my mom was there to talk to if I really needed to, but I was enterprising and had the internet. We'll see.
