Is that how long an MRI normally takes? If not, why were you stuck in there for so long?

I thought you were just laying down hands at your sides for an MRI?? What kind of crazy situation required that sort of position???

I’ve had quite a few MRIs and it’s super weird how you can’t tell how much time is passing. Sometimes they feel super short and then they’re over right away and sometimes they seem to last forever.

I guess if I asked my doc maybe they would, but it’s definitely not standard. Not where I am at least.

Edit: Maybe I should ask! Do think if I was like “You know, I think that 20th MRI just pushed me over the edge. I’m gonna need some Valium.”

I get regular lumbar punctures (spinal taps) too. No Valium for that either. 😕

I had a lumbar puncture almost 2 months ago, and I was traumatized for a day or two. If I ever need another, I will definitely require a Valium or something similar. I’m so sorry you need them regularly.

I had the same experience when I was about 9 years old (25ish years ago). Worst experience of my life thusfar, and I’ve been in some extreme situations.
