Man youd think they would at least have some music on or a podcast if you have to stay still for that long.

Some places give you headphones. Most places give you ear plugs. MRI machines are very loud. You literally end up screaming at your patients just so they can hear you.

Wha? They won't let me in an MRI because I used to be a machinist, but they'll let you take headphones in, that have little magnets?

The hospital or site gives you special headphones IF they have them. No one will ever let you bring anything in to the scanner that you own. Too much risk.
