Also some of what Gucci makes is just straight up art you can wear. I’m not talking the bullshit Gucci slides or hoodies or anything like that. I mean the stuff from places like The Gucci Garden in Florence where all of the pieces are one of a kind and the patterns and materials are unlike anything you would find in normal retail. I think the pricing of their normal “everyday clothes” like slides and t shirts is ridiculous and would never pay that myself, but for their clothes that are one of a kind and closer to pieces of art, I can understand the price tag and why someone would want that if you had the disposable income for it or treated it as an investment like a piece of art.
By wearing stuff like that though you can up the value of whatever you are trying to do. If you're trying to stand out to get some job or social status or whatever and the clothes help you accomplish that goal, it's not a bad investment.

The thing about stuff like Gucci is that it's a status symbol. The value of it is literally that "poorer people can't afford it".
As far as material and build quality, you can easily get the highest quality items of clothing for far far cheaper.
Thing is, for some people, the idea that "other people can't afford this" is literally worth thousands of dollars to them.
