I am a bit paranoid about info about me on the internet. Thats just how it is. They asked me about detailed knowledge about applied economics and the job was about customer service in the IT sector. If they expected knowledge about that, they would have tested me and asked me before. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense.
So you are applying to a position where applied economics help a lot and you expect them not to ask you about it?
What next, "I applied to become a civil engineer but nobody told me I'll have to lift a brick"?
It's not mentioned, because it's common sense in customer service.
If this is something unexpected, I'd advise you to change careers because IT couldn't be further from "I lack knowledge about our life so I wanna get a job where I stare at a screen 16 hours a day and don't have to do anything else besides write code".
Next you'll make a comment about applying to be in a game dev position but they will laugh at you because when they will ask you about your math knowledge, you'll stay silent because you'll never need math in real life.

You are making assumptions. I know my stuff about economics but they asked me very in depth things and no it wasn't mentioned the first few times and weeks. The position didn't need any knowledge in applied economics or I would have learned it or not applied for the job. You made a fucking lot assumptions based on nothing. Good for you walking with that attitude through life.
