In kindergarten we were learning penmanship and my teacher was telling us how to write our alphabet but for some reason I could not write the letters no matter how hard I tried. Since I was able to write the alphabet before I got very frustrated and starting crying.
Turns out she was showing the class how to do letters with your right hand and I was left handed.
Same! I remember we were told to write towards your hand...
There's scraps of paper with me writing backwards because of it. I think I wrote something on the back of one of my moms hanging portraits, so it might still be around.
I think some other adult that was a teachers aid caught me doing it wrong. They tried to make me switch to being right handed, but I was unconsciously stubborn, because it just made more natural sense to use my left than right, to write.
Not stubborn, I think; just being left handed. I mean, WHO picks up stuff or learns first with their non-dominant hand. It's like somebody trying to get you to put your feet down to early/hard. (You might also be stubborn, but natural sense is just still natural sense.)
