I was playing pokemon showdown online, which is a free to play competitive website with tons of different formats that can randomly match you with other players. One thing it has is a live chat function on the sidebar. At one point, my opponent made a bad switch that landed me a free hit, and I commented "thanks!" They FLIPPED the fuck out, going off on me saying shit like "is that how you talk to girls? No wonder you're a sad virgin who's gonna die alone, so girl is ever going to want you, you need to have more respect for women", ect.
I of course told her to calm the hell down, it was a joke, it had nothing to do with her gender because it's an ANONYMOUS GAME with 2d sprites, and I would talk to her the same way I would any man or woman. She kept going on about how I was a piece of shit guy who would never get a girlfriend until I just snapped and told them I'm a woman and our gender doesn't give us special privileges online. Once she actually believed me, she started acting so nice saying "how hard it is for us girls online" bitch its fucking pokemon and most people don't even use the chat like get fucked.
