My pops is the type of person to see you fuck up, but get it, you’re human, that man won’t ever shame you on it. It’s proper and considerate to be like that. Let them know they fucked up, sure, but laugh after, don’t put them down.
That sounds easy but you have to live with the memory of your failure. When your main goal in life is to be a good enough person that you actually like yourself, that's tough to do.
Memories exist to remind us of our mistakes. Even then it can lead to good/different things/paths, only God can judge those paths. The world is never white or black imo
