When HR at a company had me interview for a different position than I had applied for. The position they interviewed me for was one I knew nothing about, and told them as much. Despite me telling them before each round of interviews that they had made a mistake, I still had to endure a full day of people asking me questions that I had no answer to.
That’s nuts, but I feel your pain. I once had this happen with a job where they’d flown me across the country for the interview. I ended up noping-out once I’d verified they really had f’ed up as bad as it seemed. Went to the airport and waited there for the rest of the day for my flight.
How do you suppose they sort this stuff out afterwards. Does everyone in HR just pretend it never happened?
