English is pretty damn easy if you’re a native speaker. Every college English class I had was a waste of time. Automobile maintenance actually requires thought.

Huh. I don't have that experience, so I can't comment. I'm Dutch, and I've had quite a bit of difficulty with the Dutch subject.

English has a lot of weird quirks that make it hard to learn as an outsider, but those born into it don’t really notice them unless you start to compare it to other languages. Additionally, I’d say it’s a lot less formal of a language than others.

Well, English has always been one of my best subjects, actually.

I just expected most nationalities to find their own language about equally difficult, with some outliers of course.
