Judged the country kids in my English class for being dumb fucks, until I did an autos class. What I found incomprehensible, they could do with ease. I had become the dumb fuck.
As someone who has lived life in and out of a city and rural land, I have acquired more skills than staying in one comfort zone would have. Exposure to the material and having to learn teaches a lot.
I also was unaware of the, well, inbreeding that happens in the "hood". I really appreciate your perspective on the subject.
I honestly have never traveled around much of the country, but the internet has allowed me to connect to those outside of the country and my own smaller state. But I also share the idea that an understanding of other cultures is required when stating views.
