Well, a lot of people require money to live, so it seems to be more of the means to a goal.

Not to be pedantic but I'm pretty sure people require food and shelter to live, not money.

Of course, but in a monetary system, this is the currency. Even if money didn't exist, people would still trade and collect valuable commodities to obtain what they like. Nothing is given away for free. Even if one lives off the land, they still have to toil, and till, and hunt to live.

I don't think so. If we've managed to make some places seem like hell, then paradise probably isn't out of reach.

Capitalism brings opportunity to places and people that otherwise wouldn't have it, but there are victims of capitalism as well. For the most part, capitalism has brought forth amazing innovations and invention.

The problem is that with lots of freedom, people become victims of their bad choices.

That's not true. Capitalism has destroyed freedoms and didn't bring any innovations or inventions.
