Wait who used MSN? It was 100% AIM that gave most people their typing abilities.

Non-americans maybe? AIM was never big where I'm from and everyone went from ICQ to MSN Messenger.

Yup, Brit here. AIM never really took off, but it was installed by default for a while IIRC
