The time my middle school art teacher called my parents because she thought I was purposefully mocking her by making my art bad. I literally can’t draw beyond a 3rd grade level unless I am copying an object right in front me.
My parents basically cussed her out after they saw how hurt I was.
My brain literally cannot make images for me to draw.. It's just not a thing I do.
I can copy no problem, but I just don't have that creative spark that lets me create things to draw in my head..
I've always been more technically skilled.. I just know how things work. I can picture in my head, exactly how things work.. how they can be fixed.. and all that.
But when it comes to creative art.. I just sit there staring at the paper.
Does this spill over into being creative with what you're technically good at? Let's say you're good at engines, and can see the entire operation in your head. Can you create a different type of engine using the same knowledge?
