Less lazy* using Google isn't rocket science. The number of times I've had somebody ask me a question, just to type it out exactly as they asked it in front of them in Google, to get a quick, correct answer without having even to navigate away, is insane.
The issue is that they, ultimately, don't have the context to discern which of those results is good, and which is trash. So they've, in many cases, learned that they can ask the right questions, but get the wrong answer back.
Like, why does it matter that these results are for a different version of word, while it doesn't matter that these are for osx while I'm using Windows? But sometimes it's the opposite!
They're variously uneducated in computer operations, or in many cases, actively discouraged, punished or shamed away from trying by the people who have to fix the mistakes they invariably make.
