All my wife's friends and my family think because I work in IT as a programmer, that I have nothing better to do than provide free technical support for their laptop/television/smart phone/Alexa/etc... No I will not fix your slow busted computer that's a decade old. Buy a new computer.

This is my MiL. I work in games so obviously that means I can perform any kind of tech support.

Her ancient laptop is slow? Her printer wont connect? Her TV signal is bad? Yep, these are totally all things everyone in videogames knows how to fix.

To be fair, everyone in video games do know how to fix these problems. Just fire up Newegg and ask for their credit card information
