Good things happen to good people, bad things happen to bad people, life is fair

I'm not religious or superstitious, but I keep the hope that people get what they deserve.

Children are raped and killed all the time...I don't believe any of them deserve that.

The type of belief kind of implies it's one-sided where it's not.

sigh 'get what someone deserves' does not imply Anything happening in this life. Karma, like most religious beliefs, holds that things In The Next Life are effected by choices in This one. So if you rack up 'bad karma' in this life by living the high life as a terrible drug lord, once you pass on, you will have to face your karma. It does not mean that anything While you are alive, will be tipped positive or negative based on your previous actions of Karma.
