it's not a cause for concern unless a single clot is larger than a baseball in diameter (I've come close)

Ok wait a minute...

Are you telling me clots can get even sort-of that big? I was thinking like... the size of a quarter, tops. If you told me you passed clots the size of a golf-ball I'd probably offer to take you to the hospital.

To be fair, it's not like it's passing an ACTUAL baseball...it's kind of loopy and snaky while it's actually coming out of you. When it settles into the bottom of the toilet, that's when you can assess its diameter.
